Why is Next.js the luxury standard?

In high-end property or medical markets, the first impression is technical. A slow website communicates a neglected business image.

Our websites are Progressive Web Apps (PWA), which means they run with total fluidity on mobile, have no security issues and are ready to scale globally.

Why we build in Next.js and not WordPress

WordPress assembles the page on the server every time somebody visits. Next.js builds the pages once, when the site is published, and then serves them already finished. The visitor does not wait for anything to be constructed. That single difference explains almost everything else: the speed, the security and the maintenance cost.

A well-tuned WordPress can be fast. The problem is that it rarely stays fast, because every new plugin, theme update and third-party script adds weight. With Next.js the fast starting point is structural, not something that depends on whoever maintains the site being disciplined.

What that means for a business on the Costa Blanca

Most of your visitors are on a phone, often on mobile data, sometimes in an urbanisation where coverage is poor. A page that takes five seconds loses a measurable share of them before they see anything at all. Google measures this too, through Core Web Vitals, and uses it as a ranking factor.

The second thing that matters here is languages. This coast runs on English, German, Dutch and Spanish, and a serious multilingual site needs proper separate versions with their own addresses and their own content, not a translation widget bolted on top. Next.js handles that structure cleanly, which is why every multilingual project we take on is built this way.

The third is what happens when you migrate. Moving a site without mapping every old address to a new one is the fastest way to throw away years of rankings. Every migration we run includes a one-to-one redirect map and Search Console monitoring for the weeks that follow.

Questions about Next.js development

Will I still be able to update the site myself?

Yes. We connect a content editor for the parts you need to change regularly, such as prices, opening hours, properties or blog posts. What we avoid is the plugin free-for-all that slows sites down over time.

Is Next.js more expensive than WordPress?

The initial build usually costs more and the running costs are lower, because there is no plugin licensing, far less maintenance and much less exposure to security incidents. Over three years the totals tend to even out, and the speed difference does not.

Can you migrate my existing site without losing rankings?

Yes, provided it is planned. We map every existing address to its new one, keep the canonical tags consistent and monitor Search Console after launch. Done properly, traffic does not drop.
